The Asset Coordinator:

Oversees and delivers on a range of administrative functions, activities and projects that relate to building and infrastructure in accordance with government/department policies and procedures.
Contributes to the development of new techniques, policies and methodologies that support the provision of a coordinated asset management service.
Coordinates, undertakes and/or contributes to a range of projects within broadly defined guidelines at a corporate, and site level in accordance with Asset Services objectives.
Undertakes projects and programs of work within broadly defined guidelines.
Prepares briefings and provides advice/information to the Minister for Education, senior executives, managers and appropriate personnel on Asset Services issues.
Contributes to the resolution of complex matters relating to asset management, financial management and strategic directions for Department for Education sites through undertaking liaison, consultation and negotiation with a range of stakeholders.
Contributes to and supports the delivery and maintenance of efficient work practices within the team which support Asset Services.
Desirable – Relevant appropriate tertiary qualification or extensive knowledge and experience in facilities and asset management/maintenance fields.

Special Conditions

The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.
The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.
