Shaping the Future
We know that a great education can change lives. This unites us in our vision to make public education in South Australia world-class for all the children and young people in our schools and preschools.
We are one team, state-wide working together to make a difference so that South Australia thrives.
Our work is driven by six key levers, all of which are evidence based and feature in the highest performing education systems across the globe. You can read more about these levers in our Strategic Plan – Towards 2028, which outlines the work we have done so far and the steps we are taking next as we build toward world-class education in South Australia.
We are People and Culture
With more than 30,000 employees, our people are at the heart of everything we do. Whether working directly with children and young people or in support of those who do, our workforce is key to achieving our goal to become a world-class education system. We need to attract the best people to our department, deploy them where it matters most and invest in their development. It’s also crucial that our culture positions us as an employer of choice and enables our people to perform at their best.
The People and Culture division is evolving. Our world-class ambition requires us to ensure we are focused on what matters, and that we are structured to deliver on that with the flexibility to respond as the department needs us to.
We’ve reset our operating model, so that we can be:
Fit for purpose
Focused in our expertise
This is an exciting time to join the division, to lead change and to raise the bar so that our People & Culture function has an impact toward our world-class ambition.
