We have an exciting opportunity for Welders/Boilermakers/Fabricators to join our team. Positions will be located at our Kingsford and Shea-Oak Log Locations. These opportunities will suit all levels, whether you are a recent school-leaver or an experienced Boilermaker/Welder/Fabricator.

 

Skills and Experience;

  • Read job instructions and specifications;
  • Review drawings and specifications to determine job requirements;
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal using gas shielded metal arc;
  • Examine work for defects, and measure with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications;
  • Set up and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment, grinders;
  • Detect faulty operation of equipment and/or defective materials or products;
  • Preparing of items using power or hand tools ready for assembly;
  • Assemble job items using hand tools and measuring equipment and tack weld together;
  • Measure and examine completed work to verify conformance to specifications before welding.

 

About you:

  • Relevant Trade qualification;
  • Flexible and cooperative team attitude;

  • A dedicated approach to safety and quality.

This position will only be open to Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander applicants.
