About the Opportunity:

The Human Resources Management Branch have an opportunity for a Graduate Human Resources (HR) Support Officer to join their team on a 12 month fixed-term contract.

The Graduate HR Support Officer is required to:

Provide effective and efficient administrative support service to the line managers and senior managers on a range of human resources matter including but not limited to contract administration and management, recruitment and on-boarding of staff, succession planning, talent management, recruitment and selection, coaching & development, change management, performance management, position management, conflict resolution, grievances, redeployment and employee misconduct.

Essential Requirements:

Commitment to undertake a fully funded Certificate IV in Project Management (BSB40920)
Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related discipline, attained within the last three years or will attain before employment commences.
Experience in the use of a computerised HR / payroll system or similar data entry systems and apply a high level of accuracy in the input of data or information.
Possess an understanding of contemporary HR practices, approaches and strategies, Human Resource Management and procedures and their application with the SA Public Sector, including awards, guidelines, Enterprise Agreements, Work Health & Safety Act 2012, Equal Employment opportunities and quality improvement principles and procedures. Knowledge of the principles of equity and diversity requirements.
Demonstrated sound knowledge and commitment to WH&S legislation, principles and practises; and risk assessment in accordance with the WH&S Act (2012), Regulation, approved codes of practice and AS/NZS ISO 31000:2018 Risk Management – Principles and Guidelines.

ASO2 – $55,315 – $59,503 per annum
Special Conditions

Australian residency or current work permit is required (responsibility of the applicant to provide evidence of a current work permit)
Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and compliant Immunisation screening.
Participate in the South Australian Police (SAPOL) Individual Performance program.
Abide by the Code of Ethics for the South Australian Public Sector.
